Why do companies appear repeated in the Import Mexico Excel? How to see a unique importer ranking?
This is expected behavior. The Import Mexico Excel file exports operations—each row represents an import operation. A single company may have performed dozens or hundreds of operations during the period, which is why it appears repeated.
How to resolve: The Excel file is based on operations, not companies. To view a ranking of unique companies, follow this order:
Option 1 — Importers ranking on the platform:
-
With your filters applied, access the Dashboard.
-
Scroll to the Classification of Importers section—there you will find the consolidated ranking of the top importers, including total FOB and market share.
-
Click on View more to see the full list directly on your screen.
Option 2 — Pivot table on the platform:
-
Go to the Detalles tab and click on Pivot Table.
-
Group by the Importer field to see consolidated and summed values directly on the screen without needing to download files or use credits.
Option 3 — Excel extraction: Use this option only if you want to process the data externally and have this service contracted in your plan.
-
After downloading the file, open it in Excel.
-
Create a Pivot Table in Excel with the Importer field in the rows and FOB or Quantity as the value.
-
This will consolidate all operations by company in your local file.
💡 Tip: To save download credits, always use the Dashboard or the Pivot Table directly on the platform. You can get the importers' ranking on the screen without spending any extraction credits.
